now i found a sweet guide to get any socks proxy to work via mac OS here: https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-route-web-traffic-securely-without-a-vpn-using-a-socks-tunnel

the command is simple:

ssh -D 1090 -f -C -q -N [email protected] -p 1090

but this doesnt work as the torguard username is [email protected] then @proxy.torguard.org

is there a way i could just use a simple username rather then my email as the username? or if any one knows how to put an email within a ssh socks5 tunnel login with the 2nd @ sign which points to the server

from there i would put localhost as the server in firefox and 1090 as the port therefore the client connects to the already running SOCKS tunnel running in background on the system
