Windows shutdown stalls

Question

On my Windows 10 computer with Torguard v0.3.43 I can't shutdown with forcing Torguard to end or manually quitting it before shutdown. Is there a setting to prevent the Torguard shutdown confirmation prompt?

Hello

I would always suggest you disconnect vpn before shutting down your computer anyway to prevent any problems.

OK.

Why though? The VPN client can be ended while connected by simply closing the window, without any confirmation prompt, and it hasn't caused any issues for me yet. Why is a terminate request from the OS due to shutdown treated differently? If anything the shutdown would cause less problems as everything is shutting down.

Hi -  in the latest versions this is no longer an issue  - also in later builds of TG Client there is no reason to close or disconnect TG before shutting down or rebooting - at the time we had an issue with internal DNS being left on users adapters and causing them to lose DNS connectivity - this is no longer the case.
