over the past few weeks i had alot of disconnects and reconnects from the iceland servers, up to the point where my pfsense gets disconnected and shuts down the openvpn daemon forcefully.

Mar 10 03:55:24	openvpn[####]: [TG-OVPN-CA] Peer Connection Initiated with [AF_INET]server.connect.ip:443
Mar 10 03:55:27	openvpn[####]: AUTH: Received control message: AUTH_FAILED
Mar 10 03:55:27	openvpn[####]: /usr/local/sbin/ovpn-linkdown ovpnc3 1500 1542 vpn.client.ip server.vpn.int.ip init
Mar 10 03:55:28	openvpn[####]: SIGTERM[soft,auth-failure] received, process exiting

i also get lots of mtu fails:

Mar 10 01:52:12	openvpn[####]: WARNING: 'link-mtu' is used inconsistently, local='link-mtu 1542', remote='link-mtu 1574'
Mar 10 01:52:12	openvpn[####]: WARNING: 'tun-mtu' is used inconsistently, local='tun-mtu 1500', remote='tun-mtu 1532'
Mar 10 02:52:18	openvpn[####]: WARNING: 'link-mtu' is used inconsistently, local='link-mtu 1542', remote='link-mtu 1574'
Mar 10 02:52:18	openvpn[####]: WARNING: 'tun-mtu' is used inconsistently, local='tun-mtu 1500', remote='tun-mtu 1532'
Mar 10 03:52:19	openvpn[####]: WARNING: 'link-mtu' is used inconsistently, local='link-mtu 1542', remote='link-mtu 1574'
Mar 10 03:52:19	openvpn[####]: WARNING: 'tun-mtu' is used inconsistently, local='tun-mtu 1500', remote='tun-mtu 1532'

has there been an update with the common configuration on latest stable pfsense, that i am not aware of?

credentials havent been changed, cert is still the one i added ~2 months ago from the servers list.

thanks in advance for any tip.

Hello

We are looking into this right now, 2 servers had to have hardware replaced so that might have been the cause of the auth issues, w will update when back online.

In regards to the MTU warnings, these are harmless you can safely ignore them

Regards
