Buffalo DD-WRT Router with VPN for one device only

Rate this question

Hello Everyone,

I hope all is well!

I am not very sophisticated when it comes to playing around with routers and setting up VPNs.

Anyways, here is what i need help with:

- My router is Buffalo DD-WRT (Build 29134)

- I have successfully setup Torguard's OPENVPN on it (Connected Success)

- My network has been up and running for a while, so i already have a router in place which is assigning IP addresses to all connected devices.

- I want to install my buffalo DD-WRT router with VPN on the network, and i want to connect 1 device to it only (physical wired connection)

- I don't want the buffalo router to assign new IPs to the device, so i disabled the WAN port & DHCP server on it

- So now this device is obtaining an IP address from my original router (same goes for the buffalo)

- But i want this device to go through the VPN

- And it must be able to ping all devices on the network, and vice versa (devices on the network can ping it)

I have seen a post here about tunneling, but the commands didn't work for me.

I hope you can help!

Waiting for your feedback,

Best regards,
