Question

Hi! I realised that many - maybe even most ip-addresses by Torguard are listed in various blacklists for spam etc. What are the consequences, what can be done about this? I suppose the chances that my emails will end up in spamfolders will increase?

I used these tools

https://mxtoolbox.com/whatismyip/

http://whatismyipaddress.com/blacklist-check

Thanks!

I don't use gmail, in tests that I made the ip-address was always displayed in the header, it is therefore visible to anti-spam software. (I think I'll have to open a support ticket, as Torguard does not always answer to forum posts)

Hello Nomad - we are always in the process of removing them, its just a cycle that repeats itself.

We are looking to adding much more IP's to recycle though, this should help.

Worst case scenario when using IP's on blacklists is email will go to spam.

Currently it's difficult to find a server with ip addresses that are not blacklisted, for me that is a reason to consider looking for other vpn providers. I don't want my emails ending up in spam filters

Have you started adding ip's? You really have to do something about this. Look, the Luxembourg server is listed in 6 spam- and malware lists https://www.dropbox.com/s/3osoo5hie396ijq/torguard-lu.png

These things happen when lots of users share IP's - we are working to get them removed, it’s a big circle :)

Eh I just checked with that MXtoolbox and I am using Mami proxy and MX could see I was from UK.

I thought the whole point of this vpn is being hidden so why is my location exposed by a website ?
