This may be a stupid question, but....

Let's say I have my TorGuard VPN running.
I have one browser open with which I am surfing sites that I want to make sure my identity is hidden.

If I open a different browser and, say, sign in to and check my regular email and/or 'social media' sites, can the sites I am visiting on the first browser get info on who I am because I've signed into email on the second browser?

Just curious as to how all this works.

Hey there - when you connect to a VPN it directs all your traffic and applications through the vpn, so if you have multiple browsers open both will be going through the same vpn connection encrypted.

Always best to use the private browsing sessions when using vpn and yes always change DNS to static, i recommend you use Torguard DNS.
