uTorrent - Not Connectable

Rate this question

Question

Sugar & Mole

uTorrent (OS X)

When the proxy is off - Connection status: Connection Working

When the proxy is on - Connection status: not connectable

  • Tried all three proxy server ports: 1080, 1085, 1090
  • Tried manual TorGuard proxy ip addresses from the TorGuard proxy servers list.
  • Set manual DNS entries for my OS.
  • LAN: Set a manual IP address for my computer outside of my router's DHCP range.
  • LAN: Tried manual port forwarding in the router.
  • checkmytorrentip does report "Success"

Despite the "not connectable" warning I do seem to make some connections. But seems I'm not in an optimal position here.

I had already switched to .org, plus tried the server ips.

checkmytorrentip reports the proxy is working but uTorrent still says "not connectable"

Hey there, did you also try the alternative auth ports, we have 1080, 1085 and 1090.

Make sure after you set these ports reboot the torrent client and update the ip check torrent tracker status.

Also make sure your using your *service* user/pass and not your billing account login email/pass.

Regards

I have the same issue. My uTorrent is telling me that I am "Not Connectable", but I am still able to download. Is this just a false negative?

If using a socks5 proxy you wont be connectable but still able to make outgoing connections and download - that’s normal behaviour when behind proxys.
