How do VPNs handle QOS?

I've always wondered how VPNs handle the priority of different packets? Does it pay any attention to QOS at all? Does it depend on the server?

We use nothing of this sort - some locations may have a user limit but we never throttle traffic.

I meant it in a more general way, not to say whether you implement it or not.  The example I'm thinking of involves the connection between me and the VPN alone, and could be with any provider really.  If I'm leeching a file over FTP and browsing a webpage too -- does the protcol (OpenVPN, or whatever) set any priorities on that or have the capability to do so?  I'm just curious about it from a technical perspective.

Hi - it doesn’t have any sort of QoS capability directly, this is something that needs to be setup on the host interface :)
