Target machine actively refused

Question

Why would the target machine actively refuse to connect me? I have my active login credentials in uTorrent with proxy set to proxy.torguard.tg port 1080. Getting following message with checkMyTorrentIP:

"Proxy connect error: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it."

Tried restarting uTorrent a few times. Normally works fine.

Started getting the same error message again. I changed the proxy in uTorrent from proxy.torguard.tg to proxy.torguard.org as suggested by Jeremy in chat and it is working again. Was not aware it had been changed.

Same issues, I just purchased my anonymous proxy through you guys too :(

Hello Alex

It can only be one of 2 things, your using the wrong hostname/IP or you have copied and pasted blank spaces at the end or start of your hostname.

Regards
