Raspbian + TG?

Rate this question

Question

46740_1511348124

I just installed rtorrent on a fresh install of RASPBIAN for Raspberry Pi. I tried following https://torguard.net/knowledgebase.php?action=displayarticle&id=90 although its states is for RASPBMC.

The tutorial points to download http://www.torguard.net/downloads/TorGuard.RP.Canada.txt and edit TG credentials. Then it says to edit /etc/rc.local file and add the following line "/home/pi/raspbmc-connect.txt" This is where I get lost. Nowhere in the tutorial does /home/pi/raspbmc-connect.txt get mentioned. Where is this file? Whats in this file? I am assuming you're meaning TorGuard.RP.Canada.txt file.

I did edit /etc/rc.local file to point to TorGuard.RP.Canada.txt but nothing happens after I reboot. Please advise

I followed this: https://torguard.net/blog/how-to-setup-torguard-openvpn-on-raspberry-pi/

Used it for a Kodibuntu install.

A few things to note.

1. Modify txt file - I used nano to modify the TorGuard.RP.Canada.txt file

2. Edit rc.local file - I used nano to modify it but instead of bash /home/pi/raspbmc-connect.txt I used bash /home/kodi/TorGuard.RP.Canada.txt since im not on raspbmc.
