IP Address Question

Question

57011_1511348127

I am new to all of this VPN stuff and have only been using it for about 2 weeks now. When I initially began using vpn lite I always received a remote IP and public IP that were the same and did not in any way come from my local ISP. However, for the last couple of days I have been getting a remote IP from the server and my local IP comes from my local ISP. Is this situation OK? Does it keep me hidden from my local ISP for torrenting? If not, how do I correct the situation?

Hello, both should be the same, please try below:

Right click on the little computer screen next to your clock and click "Open Network and Sharing Center” then go to >> Change Adapter Settings >> Right click on the TAP-Windows-Adapter-V9 and click Disable >> Then enable it right away again and retry your VPN connection.

Thank you. I tried several different servers after correction and it appears to have resolved the issue.
