asus RT-AC66U vpn client

Rate this question

Question

oggie

So I have an asus RT-AC66U router that supports being an openvpn client.

Has anyone had any experience with one of these? I configured the openvpn client on it last night and it appeared to connect. But all traffic seemed to still not be going through the vpn.

Is there something I have to do to route certain traffic or IPs through the vpn?

Hi Oggie, did you verify this by checking the connection logs and visiting iplocation.net ?

Regards

Everything is now being routed through the router, but it's not doing any port forwarding for some reason.

So even though we have my VPN port forwarding, those same ports coming through the router don't get forwarded to the server in my network.

I guess I'll have to post on some asus support sites maybe.

I'm having the exact same issue with the exact same router.  I know this was posted years ago, but was there ever a solution?
