Problem Downloading Metadata

Hi all,

 

I'm having a problem using the proxy to download the metadata of a torrent on any of the Proxy Servers. Basically if I disable the Proxy Connection I can download the metadata. Then if I re-enable the proxy the torrent downloads fine.

 

But if I try to use the proxy all the time, i.e. when I add a torrent the information in the Trackers says the connection timed out when trying to download the metadata.

 

Any Ideas?

I'm also getting this. I've tried multiple proxy servers and am having the issue with the following trackers:

 

udp://tracker.openbittorrent.com:80

 

udp://tracker.publicbt.com:80

 

udp://tracker.istole.it:6969

 

udp://open.demonii.com:1337

 

Edit: Seems to be working now so maybe the server was down?

Can you try the Netherlands proxys directly and restart the client ? let me know if they start downloading please.

Hi Noah - what proxy are you running currently ? please try use Vuze if having issues with UDP trackers.

I'm having this problem too. No matter what proxy server I use I can't get any metadata; it's pretty annoying. Using Deluge on OSX Snow Leopard.

I have this problem regularly. I'll add a torrent, but the process will get stuck at the metadata download. This happened with both uTorrent and BitTorrent. Using the proxyguard.tg settings.

 

Generally, I have to close the client for a few minutes, the launch it, again. After bouncing it, the process picks up and completes.
