Question

I have a second router that is an ASUS AC66R and my goal is to chain it off my primary router to setup a second wifi network that always has vpn protection vs a primary wifi connection that is open without vpn. For now I'm just starting with connecting to the TG San Francisco server.

I followed the support document instructions for a stock asus router and downloaded the UDP config file zip from that document. I unzipped it and added an OpenVPN client with my credentials and the config file for the TG San Francisco server. It seemed to work as it added the client but when I click activate I end up with an X indicating that the connection failed. I tried with the Vancouver config file as well and got the same result.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

i stand to be corrected but i think your router only supports openvpn server, try using l2tp or a router that supports openvpn client.
