Question

I'm trying to set up a Dedicated ip on my router. It's an Archer A7V5 (should be similar enough to a C7V5) that I have installed DD-WRT on. I've used the provided scripts, and attempted manual installation of my dedicated IP. I've even attempted standard Anonymous Torguard IPs, but I keep getting the same errors:

Quote
Dec 31 19:00:24 Archer A7 Router user.info : dnsmasq : daemon successfully started
Dec 31 19:00:24 Archer A7 Router daemon.warn openvpn[907]: disabling NCP mode (--ncp-disable) because not in P2MP client or server mode
Dec 31 19:00:24 Archer A7 Router daemon.err openvpn[907]: Options error: You must define TUN/TAP device (--dev)
Dec 31 19:00:24 Archer A7 Router daemon.warn openvpn[907]: Use --help for more information.

I am using torguard with archer c7 and c5, here is openwrt info page for your router: https://openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/archer_a7_v5

With current 21.02 release, install luci-app-wireguard and setup torguard, luci's gui is quite straight forward.

On dd-wrt I would assume it would work too as well as I do assume that wireguard would run way better than openvpn on your device.
