Using python request with 5SOCKS proxy

Rate this question

I'm trying to use torguard’s 5SOCKS proxy with python requests. I have tried this but I doesn’t work:

proxies1 = {'http': 'socks5://username:[email protected]:1080',

'https': 'socks5://username:[email protected]:1080'}

proxies2 = {'http': 'http://username:[email protected]:6060',

'https': 'https://username:[email protected]:6060'}

resp = requests.get('https://httpbin.org/ip', proxies=proxies1)

I know that you can connect qBitTorrent to torguard’s 5SOCKS proxy with:

host: proxy.torguard.org, port: 1080 and my real username and password.
