Wireguard Client Windows Config file DNS questions

Can i specify multiple DNS servers? I'm using wireguard official client because torguard client started giving me really really serious lagging issues in recent version that just slowed my computer to a crawl upon connection, when disconnecting, and would drop and reconnect more than usual. So I've been using OpenVPN client and Wireguard clients and generating my own configs using the generator built into the website. Want to know if I can use any of the custom DNS servers, especially the ad-block DNS or should I leave the config alone and pair with a proxy or some other method? Because right now it's 1.1.1.1 for DNS

[Interface]
PrivateKey = xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ListenPort = xxxxx
Address = x.x.x.x/24
DNS = 1.1.1.1

[Peer]
PublicKey = xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
AllowedIPs = 0.0.0.0/0
Endpoint = x.x.x.x:xxxx
PersistentKeepalive = 25

yes:

DNS = 1.1.1.1,1.0.0.1

you can also any other dns, like internal VPN's, adblocks dns etc...:

DNS = 10.9.0.1,10.8.0.1

This sounds quite strange, if you can, you should enable debugging and send log to support.

These DNS are non functional DNS = 10.9.0.1,10.8.0.1 except DNS = 1.1.1.1,1.0.0.1 works fine

I am a little bit confused by your post.

I do not know why you use nslookup for 10.10.10.1 and other IP's, but if your conclusion would be that 10.9.0.1 and 10.8.0.1 are non functional based on nslookup delivering reply that a server can not be found, then I would disagree with you. You can ping both servers to see if they are online:

[email protected]:~# ping 10.9.0.1
PING 10.9.0.1 (10.9.0.1): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 10.9.0.1: seq=0 ttl=64 time=388.254 ms
64 bytes from 10.9.0.1: seq=1 ttl=64 time=17.627 ms
--- 10.9.0.1 ping statistics ---
2 packets transmitted, 2 packets received, 0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max = 17.627/202.940/388.254 ms
[email protected]:~# ping 10.8.0.1
PING 10.8.0.1 (10.8.0.1): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 10.8.0.1: seq=0 ttl=64 time=10.163 ms
64 bytes from 10.8.0.1: seq=1 ttl=64 time=10.885 ms
--- 10.8.0.1 ping statistics ---
2 packets transmitted, 2 packets received, 0% packet loss
round-trip min/avg/max = 10.163/10.524/10.885 ms

you can check with traceroute for more info:

[email protected]:~# traceroute 10.9.0.1
traceroute to 10.9.0.1 (10.9.0.1), 30 hops max, 38 byte packets
 1  10.9.0.1 (10.9.0.1)  7.344 ms  7.997 ms  11.322 ms
[email protected]:~# traceroute 10.8.0.1
traceroute to 10.8.0.1 (10.8.0.1), 30 hops max, 38 byte packets
 1  10.8.0.1 (10.8.0.1)  7.256 ms  7.311 ms  11.832 ms

VPN DNS means it works only when you are connecrted,

Primary DNS: 10.9.0.1

Secondary DNS: 10.8.0.1

Both servers work and are default in wireguard configs created over the api v1.

Do not set 10.9.0.1,10.8.0.1 as your ethernet interface DNS, this is what you can use in wireguard config which would have those DNS's set during you are connected to the vpn, mostly it is located in file resolv.conf if you use linux and torguard client.

You can look up all available dns server from torguard client as well as under your account.
