How to configure Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 to use tourguard VPN

Question

I've searched the knowledge base but there are no clear instruction on how to do this. I've created the config file using the OpenVPN configurator on this site.  When I attempt to change my settings in router admin to use VPN service it ask for DDNS or static IP.  I have no idea what static IP I should use and were to add it within the router configurations. I do have a dedicated IP but again not sure if I should use that or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I believe the router version is R6900v2.

Was there a solution to this? I have the R6700v3 and having the same problem of not being able to connect to Torguard.

Sorry Sneakergeex but I have not figured this out, but if you do I would appreciate it if you circle back share what you have found.

You can't setup a commercial VPN service on the Netgear AC1900.  The only thing you can do is make your home connection a VPN that you can connect to from when your away for home.  You need to upgrade your router if you want full VPN feature sets.
