Error: Invalid license file

Rate this question

Question

After the recent upgrade I am receiving an error message stating:

"The license file found is invalid or expired. Please try reinstalling or contact your VPN Provider for assistance."

& do not have an option to select a new license.

I have tried reinstalling; uninstalling & reinstalling; uninstalling, rebooting, then reinstalling but to no avail.

I'm running windows 7 x64, could anyone tell me where it is attempting to pull the license from so I can clear that out to see if it will help or if anyone has ran into a similar problem & resolved it?

Hey DF

The license is in the following location:

C:UsersuserAppDataRoamingViscosityVPP_torguard

Remove it and Generate a new one using this guide here:

https://torguard.net/knowledgebase.php?action=displayarticle&id=128

If it already says disable license, click it to it changes to generate license, click this to re-generate and then click the home link on the nav bar - it will be under Your viscosity License".

Regards
