Does UDP Work With Mac?

Rate this question

Question

Guest

Unfortunately, TorGuard changed the configuration of their VPN Client so it only uses UDP now, and I am no longer able to connect. I was using TCP with no problems and the connection was very solid.

Does anyone know how to solve this? Support has not been very helpful and it takes a very long time for anyone to respond (24 hours+).

Using Mountain Lion OS X 10.8.5 here.

Sorry, I should have typed 10+ hours... but I only gave it medium urgency so it's my own fault.

I am running the TorGuard.app

Would it be better for me to be running something else?

- Thanks

As it turns out, all I needed to do was run the Viscosity software and import the TCP configurations.

Once I was provided with a license file for Viscosity, everything was OK.

I don't think UDP runs very well on my setup.

Hello siebert

Apologies, the delay in response might have been that, we do answer tickets all in order and weekends sometimes are very busy indeed!

Im glad you got it going, but normally when UDP does;t work 99% of the time its filtered normally by your router or local firewall.

I would maybe double check these just incase.

Regards
