Slow speeds and Newsgroups

Question

Im having issues with slow speeds while using newsgroups. I understand my speeds might be "fast" to some but unacceptable when using these services.

Anyways im getting 8MB/s (72mb/s) down. Which is good but not acceptable, considering I am capable of 25MB/s (200mb/s) down. I consistently cap at by 200mb/s bandwidth with prior services (no longer available) Whats the fastest connection out there? This is the fastest i've achieved using Stealth.

Hi FX

Im pretty sure most people would be happy to have those speeds you are achieving - what sort of speeds are you looking to get ?

Have you tested around the connections ?

I have tested around the connections, highest being 9MB/s and I am looking for 25MB/s. Im trying to find another service capable of these speeds, which is why I am trying TorGuard as i've heard great things on the speeds.

We do have the capacity but many things come into play wheniti comes to speeds.

Have you tried PPTP to compare with OpenVPN ?

What is pptp passthrough?

Also torguard says they cannot find my ip...?

When I push connect, it asks me to connect anyway.

At the end of a long line of messages, it says fatal error. It will not connect.

Hi Kate

PPTP passthrough lets you use PPTP through the firewall.

Please post the full error log so we can see whats going on.
