AT&T Fiber - Setting Up Router Port Forwarding

Rate this question

Hey there,

Just moved into a new apartment that uses AT&T Fiber. When I fired up TorGuard I noticed that it slows down connection from 400mpbs down to a ridiculous 3 to 5mbps. Previously TorGuard had a minimal effect on speed so I know that shouldn't be an issue. I did some digging and evidently I need to set up port forwarding on my AT&T router in order to bypass default firewall settings that are otherwise causing issues. Tried hacking around in the router's gateway but I don't know what ports to open. Also tried messing with TorGuard settings to no avail (possibly because I don't know what doing). Currently I'm getting this error: ERROR: Cannot open TUN/TAP dev /dev/net/tun: No such device (errno=19)

Does anyone know what I should do? Ran a site search and found surprisingly little talk of this particular issue.
