If I click the Continue or Cancel buttons while connecting, TorGuard just closes completely.

On Linux Mint.

Buggy on Ubuntu Desktop 18.04.

Dont automatic start up at reboot, also keeps requiring authentication credentials in Ubuntu to run.

Fix it

Same problems as mentioned above (Xubuntu Bionic 18.04 Kernel 5.0.0-37)

Additionally,

after start it tries for a long time to resolve VPN-Server hostname, after a while it skips that and connects and then pops up with:

Hostname could not be resolved.

You can skip this step clicking on "Continue" and try to connect using the DNS cache.

I solved my issue by going to Startup applications - there was two Torguards apps. I removed the first one from the top. Rebooted and its now working flawlessly :)

Under more settings --> network tab --> does unchecking "Lookup hostname before connecting" resolve this problem?

If I press Continue it gets this logged into syslog:
Dec 18 20:44:23 ranger kernel: [ 1777.848980] torguard[16972]: segfault at ffffffff ip 00007f4750664207 sp 00007fff3bf2fee0 error 4 in libc-2.27.so[7f47505cd000+1e7000]

as to Morphy's issue of requiring authentication, I've always had that on Linux (not on Windows), so I just edit
/usr/share/polkit-1/actions/com.torguard.policy and change the <allow_active> to yes

Anyway, unchecking "Lookup hostname before connecting" resolves my need to click the Continue button.

We haven't had any complaints, I use Mac OS everyday with TG running on latest - what version of Mac OS are you running?

Can I ask that you do the following so we can make sure you start fresh?

1) Go to more settings --> general tab --> click "restore defaults" and then hit save

2) Delete the Torguard app from the applications folder and empty your trash

3) Remove this folder:   ~/Library/Application Support/VPNetworkLLC

4) Reboot + Reinstall TG Client latest version here https://torguard.net/downloads.php

Let me know how you go.

Hi - can i ask that you do the following so we can make sure you start fresh.

1) Delete the following folder >> C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\VPNetworkLLC renaming "user" to your OS account name.

2) Open Regedit and delete the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VPNetworkLLC

3) Reboot (important) and then re-download and install the latest build from here https://torguard.net/downloads.php

You mean " If I click the Continue or Cancel buttons while connecting, TorGuard just closes completely. "

I don't have this issue on Win 10 64bit, 1909 update, with latest updates.

Hello there,

I'm trying to update to this latest version on Mac 10.11.6, and when I run the .dmg file, I get this error: "no mountable file systems".

Unsure what's going on, tried opening and running other .dmg files (non Torguard) and all is working as per normal.

Something's wrong with this particular version and the install file. Please fix thank you!!!

Same problem for me and i tryed your solution without succes. I am using OSX 10.13.6 on two imac with the same result,  i can not have access to internet anymore when i quit TorGuard. I also tried to re-install Torguard and VPNetworkLLC library from Time machine and it doesn't fix it. I really need to have acces without the VPN. Do you have any hint of wich part of the system i could re-install?

Thank's

Just curious - did you happen to try update while still connected to TG?

Can i ask that you do the following:

Go to system Preferences >> Network >> click your interface on left and click advanced, click DNS and remove any DNS you see here by clicking the - at the bottom.

Restart Tg Client and retest
