I too have this question and wish to be reassured that having made the changes suggested in the email, there's nothing I have to do over at Paypal.

Hello,

We are not dropping Paypal, Paypal are dropping us, there is nothing you have to do over Paypal, no ones account will end, you just pay over a different payment method.

Please try to work this out to keep PayPal as a payment I may have to switch provider if it’s discontinued and a few people I know the same. I had to leave NordVPN for the same reason and made TorGuard my new VPN.

Agree fully with Boopa-dee. Work out your issues with Paypal (or Paypal with you).  I am not happy about providing you with my credit card.  Likely to switch at renewal time.

It is not our decision - when Paypal makes decisions, there is no appeal against it - also please bear in mind we do not store your card, we only store a token of created with your card, no one can steal your card details, you can be sure about that.

As above, adding your card is completely safe - we understand the concerns but please do understand that you are not obligated to store your card you can make one off payments without keeping the card on file, we also offer Amazon Payments as an alternative.

Thanks for the info.

PayPal will cause their own downfall eventually.

EDIT: Where can the subscription be purchased using Amazon? I just checked the order page and can't find where to select it?

I guess billing>add funds

my question is how am i going to pay without being charged conversion to $ every time? really thinking about switching since a card fee would be half of what im paying each month

I have a subscription paid until March 2020, will my plan continue for the remaining?  Are you honoring those subscriptions?  If not, how can I get a partial refund for the time not used?

Hello,

Maybe the email could have been made more clear - we are NOT terminating anyone's subscriptions,  your TG subscription will stay as is, if you paid prior and are not due until after the 20th that's OK your TG service will stay active, you just need to change your payment method to another for your next invoice.

Thanks for the response.  I didn't get any email.  I logged into my account and saw the notification.

Hi

I changed my payment method to Credit Card and put a valid one in, but Torguard still took a PayPal payment out today (23/12/2019).  I would have thought being dropped by PayPal would have ended its payment when I changed to credit card direct.  I realise I probably should have went to PayPal and manually taken the payment subs down but that was not specified in the instructions, ie, all you need to do is change payment type in the Support area and your subs will continue type thing.  Now I have a paypal payment made to Torguard that hasn't registered against my latest invoice.  What does one do to fix this?

Hi - please submit a support ticket with the transaction ID and we will sort that out for you.

If I have no credit card on file when I come up for renewal, is my account simply terminated, or do I have to take any other option if I decide to end my account at the end of my current subscription?

My issue has to do with inability to run TorGuard on my Pixel 3XL phone, and I’m thinking of trying other services.

The question has to be asked in regards to Amazon Pay, why does torguard, a company that does anonymous VPN, need to know my full name and where I live????

Yes, it is.  And according to Amazon Pay, it is as per Torguards requirements.

On the TorGuard website, we do not ask you to enter address details - you click to pay the invoice via Amazon Pay, it directs you to amazon to chose a payment source, once is complete, it takes you back to your invoice - please explain where you are asked for address details?

This is a requirement by Amazon it would seem not TG, I will pass it over to billing to take a look - paying by credit card requires an address to validate the card and to prevent fraud - its no different via Paypal, they hold all your details as well?

Yeah, it's standard info that Amazon would have...  just want to know why it says " allowTorGuard VPN to access"

I guess its just a standard message they have to let you know that we will see your email/address you use on file - just like they warn you when installing extensions or apps that the app will potentially have the permission to see your traffic/personal details and other related info.
