connection scripts (settings)

Rate this question

If I run a script (bash) without options (~/bin/vpn-connect (which just calls ~/bin/vpn --start)) for After Connect it will work fine.  but ... I'd like to run the script directly  (~/bin/vpn --start) and torguard throws up an error (After Connect Script failed to start).  Is passing parameters to a script not an option?

#!/usr/bin/env bash

case $1 in
   -s | --start)
      [[ $(pgrep -q Transmission) ]] || open -a /Applications/Transmission.app

   -k | --stop)
      pgrep Transmission | xargs kill -9

   "" | -q | --query) ........
