Issue with Torguard VPN opening, says "DYLD, Library missing"

Hi, I've been using the Torguard VPN on my Mac without any problems for six months but as of today I'm having a problem - when I click on the App two things happen:

(1) my Avast Security gives a message suggesting there's an issue with an "infection"

(2) when I disable Avast and re-download and install the latest version of Torguard, it runs initially, but when I quit and try to re-open it I get the following message:

Termination Reason:    DYLD, [0x1] Library missing

Application Specific Information:
dyld: launch, loading dependent libraries

Dyld Error Message:
  Library not loaded: @rpath/QtCore.framework/Versions/5/QtCore
  Referenced from: /Applications/TorGuard.app/Contents/MacOS/TorGuardDesktopQt
  Reason: image not found

Can anyone suggest what may be causing this issue and how to fix it?

Many thanks

Hello,

This is an Avast problem, it is not a TorGuard problem - we have contacted them and waiting on there reply, you can safely use TorGuard without any problems, you will need to whitelist the torguard app and directory though or remove the software until they fix their definitions - you can try whitelist our app as per these instructions: https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/Mac-Security-scan-exclusions

Regards
