General question about the VPN

Hello,

So I wasn't sure where to post this so here it is.

I'm currently living in a student residence in which there is a common WiFi access for everyone. The thing is with all have a different access code for our specific apt.

My question is, I'm currently on the Toguard vpn sub and I would like to know how to set up the VPN so that the server of the residence doesn't know anything about me besides the login code for the internet access, I dont' want them to know which internet page I'm visiting or what I'm doing when online. I must say I don't know much about all of this but I'm afraid information is given to the router and therefore to the company in charge of managing it.

If the VPN doesn't cover this, could you let me know how to restrict the information shared to the server?

Thank you!

Hello,

By connecting to our VPN and using our DNS the network administrators won't know any sites you visit - sometimes though they tend to block all DNS outside there own network so that they can try force you to use there DNS.

Regards
