Release torguard-v0.3.67, 2017-03-17

====================================

- All platforms: Fix high CPU consumption in OpenConnect

   When TorGuard was connecting via OpenConnect, a full CPU core was
   consumed. This patch fixes ths issue.

- All platforms: Set OpenConnect reconnect-timeout to 300

   When using OpenConnect, this change makes TorGuard able to recover
   the VPN connection after a down time of up to 5 minutes.

- All platforms: Support "Prevent IPv6 Leak" prevention when using OpenConnect

   Original OpenConnect can not handle static IPv6 routes. This patch changes
   the vpnc-script, to handle IPv6 leak by routing IPv6 traffic into the tunnel.

- All platforms: When the option "Execute scripts" is unchecked, disable the
                editing of the script paths and the "Select..." buttons.

   This visual change is useful to see at a glance if the execution of
   the scripts "Before Connect", "After Connect" and "After Disconnect"
   is activated.

- Linux: In DEBIAN the package libegl1-mesa is now recommended

   The 64 bit version of Qt 5.7 has a dependency on libegl1-mesa.
   The 32 bit version does not need this dependency. The DEBIAN package
   now includes a recommended dependency to libegl1-mesa to solve the issue.

FYI, the newer driver version still doesn't work under Windows 10 Pro AU x64.

If you are referring to the TAP Driver, I am using version 9.21.2 and it's working fine for me on Win10 Pro x64, have you tried installing the alternative version that comes bundled with the installer? You should consider opening a ticket with support to receive priority assistance if problems still exist: https://torguard.net/submitticket.php

Spoke too soon.  Kaspersky doesn't like the new driver for some reason.

Yeah, I have never had a problem with previous versions until now. Kaspersky Total Security doesn't seem to like TAP. All of a sudden my net went all slow or just didn't work. So I installed this version. Same thing, so I paused Kaspersky and my internet was back to normal, nice and fast with TAP running.

So I'm not the only one...

Is everything working okay now? There is a setting in Kaspersky that may be worth disabling to speed up your VPN connection, it's called: "Scan encrypted connections" under settings > network (Source).

Does the VPN connection work when Kaspersky is completely disabled or uninstalled?

Also, could you explain more about your issue with the Tap Driver? Do you get some sort of error when trying to connect? Do you see the tap adapter in your "Network Connections" control panel; try disabling and enabling it.

Yes, it works fine with Kaspersky paused.

It does connect even with Kaspersky running; it's just that further traffic is blocked with the newer TAP driver and no errors given.  The network adapter appears in Device Manager under Network Adapters and Network Connections without any errors.

With the latest version on 32-bit Ubuntu, it says "detection failed" instead of "verified" below "Connected".

Same here.

I downloaded older versions from https://updates.torguard.biz/Software/Linux/

Detection works - status is 'Verified' for versions

torguard-v0.3.62-i386.deb

torguard-v0.3.64-i386.deb

'Detection failed' for versions

torguard-v0.3.66-i386.deb

torguard-v0.3.67-i386.deb

Starting from CLI I get these statements from the prompt (for a failed detection with v0.3.66):

Try the steps I posted here: https://torguard.net/forums/index.php?/topic/1063-my-internet-is-slow-with-torgaurd-v0367/&do=findComment&comment=4926

Hello - we have had multiple reports after a Kaspersky update, we are in touch with Kaspersky to try figure out what going on - this appears to be a workaround for now:

=> Open Kaspersky Internet/Total Security

=> Click on Settings (small gear icon at the bottom left hand corner)

=> Click on [Additional]

=> Click on [Network]

=> Uncheck "Inject Script into web traffic to interact with webpages" and check if the issue persists

Let me know if this fixes your issues guys.

Regards

This works for me even with the newer TAP driver!  You also have to disable the browser extension.

Thanks!!! :D

Excellent, thanks for letting us know :)

Regards
