  1. Hi. I am trying to use my asus merlin to connect to two different VPNs using the multiple openvpn interface. Now: If I first connect to my streaming IP, I can't connect to another VPN at the same time. On the contrary, if I disable the streaming ip VPN, and I connect the second VPN, I can then reactivate the streaming IP as well. Is anyone having similar problems? I'd like to discuss merlin vpn settings and so on anyway. Thank you.
  2. I have an Asus RT-AC68u and the Merlin firmware. I am trying to access sites that restrict VPN use, and they are pretty good at detecting it. I am not very technically inclined, it was quite a challenge for me to flash this firmware, but I am lost on how to configure the router with the torguard servers, and which of the hundreds of settings I need to use to best mask the VPN use. Any thoughts / tips would be appreciated! -- I have followed the setup guide, but my VPN use is still detectable. I am not detected using stealth vpn when I connect, but the router setup guide has me detectable.
  3. Hello all. I upgraded from 380.61 to 380.65. Has anybody gotten the VPN to work with the new version? I applied all of the regular settings but i need a few new options. I looked in the logs and saw the following below. Feb 10 15:03:42 rc_service: httpds 1724:notify_rc start_vpnclient1 Feb 10 15:03:42 openvpn[1961]: Options error: Unrecognized option or missing or extra parameter(s) in config.ovpn:32: push (2.4.0) Feb 10 15:03:42 openvpn[1961]: Use --help for more information. Feb 10 15:03:42 syslog: VPN_LOG_ERROR: 522: Starting OpenVPN failed... 4. I would like to configure my RT-AC68U router with torguard. I'd like one specific server to be connected to automatically, and if possible have another application automatically under a different server (two simultaneous if possible). This is a private IP that I do not see in the openVPN setup guide. Is this doable? If not, is there a way to switch to the new one upon the application starting? Lastly, is there a way I can set default DNS servers, but have torguard take over them when connected, and have them returned when it disconnects?
  5. I've just purchased an Asus RT AC87u and installed the latest Merlin firmaware. I've setup the VPN client on the router and I need my IPTV boxes to bypass the VPN. How can I do this? --Problem Solved. I played around with some settings. 1- In the router go to VPN, 2- Go to OpenVPN Clients Tab, 3- Find "Advanced Settings" 4- Set "Redirect Internet Traffic" to Policy Rules 5- Below that you'll see "Rules for routing client traffic through the tunnel". Under Source IP I chose my IPTV box's IP, left the "Destination IP" empty, set the "Iface" to Wan and clicked add and Apply. That's it. Easy. 6- I chose to add all of my IPtv boxes, laptops and smartphones here and chose whichever Iface, Wan or VPN to suit my needs. There's also a kill switch here if you set "Block routed clients if tunnel goes down" to Yes. I've tested it and it works.
