Configure router to mask VPN use as best as possible
pythoncheese posted a question in VPN Router Support
I have an Asus RT-AC68u and the Merlin firmware. I am trying to access sites that restrict VPN use, and they are pretty good at detecting it. I am not very technically inclined, it was quite a challenge for me to flash this firmware, but I am lost on how to configure the router with the torguard servers, and which of the hundreds of settings I need to use to best mask the VPN use. Any thoughts / tips would be appreciated! -- I have followed the setup guide, but my VPN use is still detectable. I am not detected using stealth vpn when I connect, but the router setup guide has me detectable. -

Asus Merlin settings to bypass VPN (Policy based routing and Killswitch)
FallGuy posted a question in VPN Router Support
I've just purchased an Asus RT AC87u and installed the latest Merlin firmaware. I've setup the VPN client on the router and I need my IPTV boxes to bypass the VPN. How can I do this? --Problem Solved. I played around with some settings. 1- In the router go to VPN, 2- Go to OpenVPN Clients Tab, 3- Find "Advanced Settings" 4- Set "Redirect Internet Traffic" to Policy Rules 5- Below that you'll see "Rules for routing client traffic through the tunnel". Under Source IP I chose my IPTV box's IP, left the "Destination IP" empty, set the "Iface" to Wan and clicked add and Apply. That's i -
I would like to configure my RT-AC68U router with torguard. I'd like one specific server to be connected to automatically, and if possible have another application automatically under a different server (two simultaneous if possible). This is a private IP that I do not see in the openVPN setup guide. Is this doable? If not, is there a way to switch to the new one upon the application starting? Lastly, is there a way I can set default DNS servers, but have torguard take over them when connected, and have them returned when it disconnects?
