  1. Hello everyone, We seem to be receiving more and more questions about WireGuard recently due to the extreme difference in speeds over other protocols, our developers are working hard on integrating into our Desktop apps at first and then mobile apps thereafter - our WireGuard integration will support Dedicated IP's, Port forwards, Streaming/Residential IP's and support ALL locations. We know everyone is hoping for a design update, there will be some small changes soon but not drastic, we really don't want to change things drastically, our functionality and app flow/security is more i

  4. I have successfully used wireguard to connect to the "wireguard" servers listed in the support page; however, I am looking to connect via wireguard to one of the dedicated IP servers I have on my account. Is anyone aware if this is available now and, if so, how to set it up, or if there is any timeline on when it will be available?

  5. Hello, As everyone knows of the Kaspersky issue by now, the following steps will resolve the problem it seems until they fix there end: 1. Disable Kaspersky product’s self-defense: https://support.kaspersky.com/14818 2. Open regedit (press Windows+R keys, type regedit and click OK, see https://support.kaspersky.com/common/diagnostics/8576#block2). 3. Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\kneps] key and create new DWORD parameter NoDefrag with value 1 (or just run kneps_no_dfg.reg file from attached archive). 4. Enable Kaspersky product’s self-defense back.

  14. I experienced a frozen TG client issue with this update. If anyone else experiences the same, you can do this to fix it: Edit the torguard client configuration file: ~/.config/VPNetworkLLC/TorGuard.conf Search for "dns-manager-preference", set it to "linux_system_d" and start the client again. I am using dnsmasq and dnscrypt services on my machine, so it is possible that the problem occurred because of my configuration. It was working fine before with /etc/resolv.conf option but not anymore for me. I have not faced any other issue after fixing the configuration.

  15. hi, I have wireguard on dd wrt and open wrt and I have 4 routers and work a lot on those to change setup and configuration about firmwares etc but with torguard wireguard, everytime I shutdown my router, and or restart my gateway etc, I always need to open torguard website, config generator, open new wireguard config and change all my setup... is it possible to keep my config even if I restart my router and disconnect it ? thanks

The new update you guys are working on is a big improvement/change and I think the users are excited to see it and use it. I know I am.

  24. Interim further testing indicates you need to connect to your chosen VPN server on port 1912 for port forwarding to work - despite being able to choose from all connecting ports (1194, 1195 etc) for establishing your VPN on the port forwarding setup form. Obviously you can choose any unused port to forward. Don't forget you'll likely need to forward the same port as both TCP and UDP for torrenting.

  26. Protocol: TCP is more reliable, bypasses firewalls that ban UDP traffic. Use if A: You are behind a restricted network(School, Government, Corporate Business), or B: You only surf the web/check emails, or various other light tasks that don't require speed). UDP is more faster, best for downloading, streaming, gaming. Use this if you have no issues connecting to stuff and require fastest speeds. Cipher: Cipher is the level of encryption the VPN will use, which will basically scramble your data in a unreadable format so if someone is spying on your network connections they won't be

  27. The RDP will not be able to maintain a connection if you do not setup port forwarding and Firewall and other settings properly such as the Default Gateway/route. You will need to google some guides and tinker for awhile. There are alot of different steps and i do not have a windows server right now so i have not the ability to go over them 1 by 1 and write them down for you but the main things you need to do i listed above once those things are setup properly it should work.

  29. Greetings! I've been trying to determine if there is a way to pick the fastest server every time I launch Torguard LT or Torguard Visc. Currently, I do it manually by connecting, running a speed test, disconnecting...rinse repeat. Takes longer sometimes as the servers don't always connect quickly. I would like to automate this and was wondering if any way to do this with either app. The communities thoughts / opinions / advice is appreciated! Thanks!

  34. I saw you found and posted on this thread. That seems to be the longest running information on interacting with the TG api to keep credentials active. I did speak with support about a month ago and they said they were working on something where maybe we could get permanent or semi-permanent credentials assigned - actually that is not what was said - but more that they wanted there to be a solution instead of the current situation where they expire every 10 or 15 minutes if not in active use (and then you have to regenerate new ones like you've experienced). I'm very interested in the id

On a a Mac Catalina system Instead of "sudo /usr/bin/wg show torguard-wg dump" since wg" WG does not exist by default in the /usr/bin folder, nor in the /local/bin either, so try instead, "/Applications/TorGuard.app/Contents/Helpers/wg" For this to work it seem you need to start up torguard app, hope this helps. Usage: /Applications/TorGuard.app/Contents/Helpers/wg <cmd> [<args>] Available subcommands: show: Shows the current configuration and device information showconf: Shows the current configuration of a given WireGuard interface, for use with `setco

  38. We are well aware guys and we resolve these issues with our implementation - this is part of the reason things are a little delayed but just to let you know: 1) All servers now support WireGuard but only from the TG client implementation - so the whole network is now ready. 2) We have WireGuard running inside TG just fine, we are just working out some small issues as we need to have it working with all the features we provide including dedicated IP's. 3) Its very fast indeed! 42. With the Torguard app, when you to tell it to connect it creates an IKEv2 VPN with 'connect on demand' enabled. So whenever the iPhone needs a network connection, iOS will check if the VPN is connected and, if not, will make it connect. My understanding is that this applies whether the iPhone is sleeping or not - I don't know how to prove this from direct experience. Certainly when I wake the iPhone, the VPN is either connected or quickly connects. Unless you need to stop the VPN (using the Torguard app) there is no need to touch the VPN through all sleeps, wakes and changes of network (e.

  43. Hi, I love torguard, it's very fast. I'm using it for some time now. But something I couldn't figure out is the desktop software keeps shutting down on its own 5-10 times a day for some reason. Fortunately I made the firewall block settings, and internet shuts down too, otherwise I would be exposed. I'm using the latest version. If you want me to send you some logs etc. I'll be happy to do it, but you're gonna have to tell me how because logs folder is empty in appdata. I'm using Windows 10 64bit btw.
