  1. Hello everyone, We seem to be receiving more and more questions about WireGuard recently due to the extreme difference in speeds over other protocols, our developers are working hard on integrating into our Desktop apps at first and then mobile apps thereafter - our WireGuard integration will support Dedicated IP's, Port forwards, Streaming/Residential IP's and support ALL locations. We know everyone is hoping for a design update, there will be some small changes soon but not drastic, we really don't want to change things drastically, our functionality and app flow/security is more i

  5. I have successfully used wireguard to connect to the "wireguard" servers listed in the support page; however, I am looking to connect via wireguard to one of the dedicated IP servers I have on my account. Is anyone aware if this is available now and, if so, how to set it up, or if there is any timeline on when it will be available?

  6. Hello, As everyone knows of the Kaspersky issue by now, the following steps will resolve the problem it seems until they fix there end: 1. Disable Kaspersky product’s self-defense: https://support.kaspersky.com/14818 2. Open regedit (press Windows+R keys, type regedit and click OK, see https://support.kaspersky.com/common/diagnostics/8576#block2). 3. Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\kneps] key and create new DWORD parameter NoDefrag with value 1 (or just run kneps_no_dfg.reg file from attached archive). 4. Enable Kaspersky product’s self-defense back.

  14. Thanks for the suggestions guys, after we have done a few things, here's a small idea of our focus on this app: - Sort locations by ping - Allow access to the settings while connected. (as per above) - Split tunnelling. (we are close) - Ability to create hotspots - Change location on the fly - Change IP every x amount of time Anything else? Regards

I'm betting most all users are having the same problems and just aren't bothering to post about it or contact support. I made a mistake the other day in a post I made where I stated Firefox v1.5 was behaving the same as the v2.* versions. V1.5 in Firefox ONLY REQUIRES clicking the icon for it to change to green after opening browser. All version 2.* requires disconnecting and reconnecting for browser icon to change to green. 23. I experienced a frozen TG client issue with this update. If anyone else experiences the same, you can do this to fix it: Edit the torguard client configuration file: ~/.config/VPNetworkLLC/TorGuard.conf Search for "dns-manager-preference", set it to "linux_system_d" and start the client again. I am using dnsmasq and dnscrypt services on my machine, so it is possible that the problem occurred because of my configuration. It was working fine before with /etc/resolv.conf option but not anymore for me. I have not faced any other issue after fixing the configuration.

  33. Interim further testing indicates you need to connect to your chosen VPN server on port 1912 for port forwarding to work - despite being able to choose from all connecting ports (1194, 1195 etc) for establishing your VPN on the port forwarding setup form. Obviously you can choose any unused port to forward. Don't forget you'll likely need to forward the same port as both TCP and UDP for torrenting.

  35. Protocol: TCP is more reliable, bypasses firewalls that ban UDP traffic. Use if A: You are behind a restricted network(School, Government, Corporate Business), or B: You only surf the web/check emails, or various other light tasks that don't require speed). UDP is more faster, best for downloading, streaming, gaming. Use this if you have no issues connecting to stuff and require fastest speeds. Cipher: Cipher is the level of encryption the VPN will use, which will basically scramble your data in a unreadable format so if someone is spying on your network connections they won't be

  36. Hello! I haven't really downloaded anything with VPN for the past month so I cant say when this started. But when I started downloading yesterday I noticed the speed is way lower than usual. My dl speed is 200Mbps and the lowest I got with VPN ON when I was testing like a year ago was 50Mbps. Now I the highest i got it was 20Mbps. Is this normal now? edit: The only thing I changed in the last month is I upgraded the program. Did maybe that do something?

  37. Yup, I switched from UTorrent to QBittorent for this reason. Couldn't find an easy way through UTorrent, but it's directly built into the menus of QBittorrent, so by switching the interface to wg-torguard, the torrent software simply refuses to connect and start downloading unless you are actively connected to the VPN, and likewise it immediately stops transfer if it detects downtime on the VPN.

  39. Putting the www. in front as suggested above is required* as it doesn't seem to load properly without it. Each Server Location has Multiple IP's so when you connect to a location say > ( Seattle USA ) it assigns you randomly one of the server IP addresses for that location... so if you connect to seattle and then disconnect and reconnect to seattle again you will likely get assigned a different IP address for that location. I tried multiple seattle IP's and none seemed to work for me but i tried , San Francisco USA and it worked fine... so your best bet is to try different Locations an

I already contacted Amazon about it and they promised to escalate the issue. Will post again when I have updates, even though I am having a foot out of the door here due to the issues with the iOS client.

  42. hello, you can have 8 separate connections and if you want you can give all of them to your friends, torguard and other services do not care about it. On torguard, you can setup alternative credentials which is something that you should do if you give anybody access. You can use dedicated ip or any ip up to 8 separate connections, the only restriction is that you need to use different protocols/ports for each except you use wireguard. As example, if you connect over openvpn udp port 1195 then your girlfriend will not be able to connect over udp 1195 to that ip. Instead, she could use any

  49. Hello mrneilypops. I just saw your question and can answer that as I am a TG user myself and have done a lot of research with this topic! when you use a vpn-client on a router you (at this point of time) you never get full speed of your provider. the cpu used in the router is the limiting thing here! You have to understand, that the whole encryption, normally done by your PC cpu is done by the router cpu in this case. So using a router router the nighthawk, with a strong cpu is a good idea. The 60Mbit you get is as good as it gets! VPN encryption on a router is a sin
