    Cannot Install VP9 Adapter

Looks like a registry issue or something to do with a conflicting/additional OpenSSL installation. Do you have any other VPN adapters installed? I'd try using Revo Uninstaller Portable to do a deeper search, use it to also detect related registry entries and files which may be being left by the installer, uninstall the software that way then do a fresh install with a freshly downloaded copy of the latest Torguard installer.

    SMTP blocked by my ISP

That sounds like you're not authenticating on outbound SMTP connections, so Optonline is (correctly) denying unauthenticated relaying from outside of their own network. Basic anti-spam measure for people whose infected computers get dragged into a spam botnet. Doublecheck that your mail client is authenticating on outbound mail as well as incoming. (What client are you using?)
  8. Hi, I recently had to delete the VP9 adapter because I troubleshoot a ton of issues with my network connections. I somehow inadvertently ruined it. Now, every time I try to reinstall TorGuard and the adapter, I get the dialogue box that says a driver problem was detected, but I keep getting this error when I click YES. I have no clue what this means.
  9. Hello everyone, We seem to be receiving more and more questions about WireGuard recently due to the extreme difference in speeds over other protocols, our developers are working hard on integrating into our Desktop apps at first and then mobile apps thereafter - our WireGuard integration will support Dedicated IP's, Port forwards, Streaming/Residential IP's and support ALL locations. We know everyone is hoping for a design update, there will be some small changes soon but not drastic, we really don't want to change things drastically, our functionality and app flow/security is more important, the app flow will change but again not drastically, remember it's not about how one looks, it's what's inside ๐Ÿ˜‰ Best Regards TorGuard

TorGuard VPN Speeds - What are you getting?

Wonderful!!! I hope the dedicated Torguard app improves upload speed over the stock Wireguard app, but I'll be really happy to have it on "ALL servers" either way. I'm looking forward to trying IKEv2 as well. ๐Ÿ™‚

Force Traffic Through Torguard VPN on Ubuntu VM

ufw enable ufw default deny outgoing ufw default deny incoming ufw allow out from 192.168.1.0/24 to 192.168.1.0/24 ufw allow in from 192.168.1.0/24 to 192.168.1.0/24 ufw allow out to any port 1912 ufw allow out on tun0 from any to any ufw allow in on tun0 from any to any Not an expert, use at your own risk, but... I used the above commands for mine (Ubuntu server 2020.4) and it mostly works. It denies pretty much anything except a connection to an openvpn server, the local network, and anything going through the VPN. Run the above commands once and they persist after reboot ("ufw reset" if you mess up.) A weakness is in that "any port 1912" line. It is to allow an outbound connection to any torguard vpn (the port is specified in your openvpn config and it should be tcp 1912 by default), but actually it allows that connection to ANY server meaning that it's remotely possible that your client could connect to a torrent via port 1912. Ideally it would be limited to the server that you are using by replacing "any" in that line with the IP of the server you want to use. Since DNS is not allowed, all addresses must be IP, not the dns name (applies to firewall and openvpn configuration--after the VPN is up, dns will go thru it.) If you have a favorite trusted (secure) DNS, you could allow that in a line similar to "ufw allow to 1.1.1.1 port dnssec" where 1.1.1.1 is the IP of your dns server. Note that using your local router as a dns server (typically 192.168.1.1) will probably create a dns leak because your real IP will be used for requests. Another thing I just thought about is the wisdom of the "allow in on tun0 from any to any" and "allow out on tun0 from any to any". It is a) exposing you to anything coming through the vpn and b) potentially allowing others to use your server as a gateway. Maybe remove "to any" and "from any" respectively? Also note that my local IP is 192.168.1.0/24--yours might be different.
  12. Currently the biggest obstacle of connecting to torguard VPN is DNS polluting here. My local DNS is likely to send response delayed or return a wrong result, if I try to use unencrypted outside DNS then my request will be intercepted and I'll get a wrong result immediately. (It is confirmed that UDP:53 is blocked for ALL foreign servers here.) So I suggest implementing DNS-over-TLS feature for the app, as HTTPS is usually not blocked for foreign DNS servers here for now, while resolving VPN addresses without local DNS can reduce the chance of VPN servers being discovered, so the difficulty of connecting is reduced and torguard's domains names are more durable. Additionally, idk if torguard DNS servers support DoT for now, maybe you can consider adding this feature to these DNS servers, further reducing the chance of DNS/VPN servers get discovered by "the firewall" here.

    whole-home Wireguard VPN on dd-wrt

I've been looking around, and I know it's still relatively new and all, but I haven't been able to find a whole-home torguard dd-wrt wireguard guide/set-up... I have seen the excellent OpenVPN write ups like this one on how to set up OpenVPN on newer DD-WRT setups: https://torguard.net/knowledgebase.php?action=displayarticle&id=262 I'm looking for that article, just with wireguard instructions instead. If someone can write one up, I'm sure it would be beneficial to a lot of people. On the other hand, I may be a lousy searcher and it may already have been written. If this is the case, please remind me that search is my friend and be a pal and throw in the link for me too please ;x -cheers

    WireGuard on iOS

What a wonderful news! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ I also hope you will improve AES 256 bit encryption and OpenVPN protocol. I think that TorGuard is one of the best vpn providers, itโ€™s a pity that iOS app is neglected. Good job guys ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
