  2. Every time I want to change something regarding a server I have set up in the client, I have to completely remove and re-enter the server. Very cumbersome. I'm sure you'd agree. How high of a priority it is, or otherwise - is out of my hands Not as high as the fabled ping sorting client i bet
  3. So, if you work support here often - perhaps you remember my posts. First it was an abysmal ping that began on the standard chicago servers. I signed up for premium in an attempt to resolve. While my speeds actually got EVEN WORSE on the premium, it did allow me to send outbound email which was a plus. Either way i cancelled and just as I did, the ping issues with chicago were resolved (which anyone knows by now). Fast forward, and I noticed there was a post saying the 10g speed issues were resolved as well. So if I could have potentially better speeds AND email, I figured id sign back up - and did. This led me to discover a few things. 1) the emails being blocked are being blocked on quadranet's IP's, not cogents (or DigitalOcean for that matter) I imagine theres nothing you guys can do about this which is unfortunate due to 2) I am in fact getting marginally better speeds on the premium network ONLY on quadranet servers. Cogents are literally gutter abysmal in both ping and throughput to the same exact area. Just as bad as they were in the past (which they were as I now realize, the only chicago based server you had at the time) and also why it had my emails going through. I tried different locales as well. Los angels for example. Cogent = gutter, quadranet, substantially faster in every way. Is this just the way it is? Does cogent have inferior infrastracture or is there some kind of issue going on like there was with quadranet chicago servers some weeks back? really trying to ascertain the value of sticking with the premium network, or at least which servers to keep on my dedicated IP list with port forwards set-up. If i can get quadranets speed, and cogents non blocked ip addressed, it'd be a win

outlook 2016 can't connect with VPN

ok to close this out...36 hours or so after stopping working, outlook suddenly decides that its OK to connect to the server regardless of Torguard status. no changes made - despite the troubleshooting. just another one to chalk up to microsoft i guess. thanks TG support...

outlook 2016 can't connect with VPN

its a core i7 8550 - but thats not really the issue: its outlook connection, and also why i am exiting the Torguard VPN in the US instead of Sydney... [edit] i have opened a support ticket 818175 so my VPN screenshots are a tad more discrete.

continuing the troubleshooting: ran a speed test, unconnected (speedtest.net closest server in Brisbane, Australia) i get: 93mbps down, 37 mbps up connected to sydney VPN server (and per my previous post speedtest.net auto finds the closest server to be Wellington, KS) , i get: 20mbps down, 7mbps up - with a terrible ping (208ms)

outlook 2016 can't connect with VPN

hi, i am running the latest office 365 version of outlook (32 bit) on Win 10 (64 bit), which automatically updates itself based on the wisdom of some microsoft sysadmin. it has worked fine in conjunction with Torguard VPN for ages, so i can only assume that an office update has caused this, but need to figure this out...maybe its something I should be doing differently. if Torguard VPN is connected and I start Outlook complains it cannot connect to the server - but more than that it actually freezes/hangs - clicking on it only gives that annoying "dang" sound. Outlook can only be closed with task manager. if Outlook is hung, if i disconnect/quit Torguard before shutting down Outlook, there is no change - Outlook stays hung. if Torguard is disconnected/not running, Outlook starts, connects & works fine. starting/Connecting Torguard after Outlook has connected to the server, Outlook continues to happily run, consuming my waking moments with grumpy cat emails from my mum who just never grows tired of that shit. Torguard app DNS config is to use "Pushed DNS" when connected. i have tried flushing DNS cache with the Torguard app before connecting the VPN, and also after VPN connection but before starting Outlook using ipconfig/flushdns - no change to above. oh - and yes the usual restart outlook, restart torguard app, reboot PC stuff has been tried ad infinitum. can't see anything relevant in event viewer, except a couple of messages that the Outlook process has become unresponsive. separately (but maybe connected to the above?) - i am based in Australia, and connect to the Sydney VPN server, but WhatsMyIP shows a US address. any ideas?

  18. Hello, You need to set your torrent port to something higher, 1912 is an OpenVPN port and although appears open will not accept incoming connections unless authenticated through OpenVPN - Have you tried using TCP? a different cipher, a GCM cipher?

    Port forwarding setup changed?

Hey there - now all port forward IP's should be auto pulled directly to the client after you log in and out for the first time - if that's not the case, follow below on windows to resolve the problem: 1) Go to more settings --> general tab --> click "restore defaults" and then hit save 2) Delete the following folder >> C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\VPNetworkLLC renaming "user" to your OS account name. 3) Open Regedit and delete the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VPNetworkLLC 4) Restart the app and connect, disconnect and the config should now appear, you may need to sort the menu by custom to see it at the very top. trouble with openvpn on raspberry pi

I'm having the exact same issue, I feel I'm doing something wrong. Any chance you could share your solution, please?
  22. [SOLVED] I e-mailed support and after doing this + restarting my PC/internet afterwards it works again: 1) Uninstall all TAP drivers, go to >> Control Panel >> System and Security >> System >> Device Manager. 2) Scroll down to Network Adapters, right click the TAP drivers and uninstall them, deleting the driver too when asked, then uninstall TorGuard app from program and features section 3) (Important step) Delete the following folders >> C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\VPNetworkLLC renaming "user" to your OS account name and C:/program files (x86)/VPNetworkLLC 4) Download any registry cleaner like ccleaner and run multiple registry cleans deleting all found till no more issues is reported (backup registry when it offers to do so). 5) Restart windows, and then Re-download and install the latest build http://updates.torguard.biz/Software/Windows/torguard-setup-latest.exe
  23. Since today I cannot connect on OpenVPN or OpenConnect to any server. When I connect on OpenVPN it keeps refreshing and trying to reconnect. When I connect on OpenConnect it gives me the error message "Failed to open HTTPS connection to...) Both UDP/TCP and cleaning/refreshing the DNS don't work either. I have tried all of the options on this website: https://torguard.net/knowledgebase.php?action=displayarticle&id=223 I've also tried a fix that was posted on this topic that required a clean install https://forums.torguard.net/index.php?/topic/1353-could-not-connect-to-the-vpn-management-socket/ Nothing seems so fix my issues.

Torguard is the only "God" Tier VPN?

Im pretty sure its fine with their USA servers but i don't think so for the rest of their servers. I used to experience slow speed to australian servers and now its vietnam servers. Literally slow to a scrawl cannot even load pictures from HK servers...
  26. Hi, I used to have port forwarding working. It recently stopped working. I redid the port management side of things and received an email saying my port forwarding was ready and that I should select the "Port Forward IP profile" in the VPN client. No such profile appears. I am running version 3.95.0. I then came across this post: https://forums.torguard.net/index.php?/topic/1553-port-forward-doubt/&do=findComment&comment=6980 I followed the instructions, but port forwarding still doesn't work. Cheers
